The Beginning, Again

Here we go again. Ten years ago we saved some money, travelled from Vancouver to Argentina and shared as much as we could through our blog. We didn’t have jobs where we could work remotely, and to be fair, the infrastructure was barely there to make that a possibility. We treated the blog like a job. It kept us grounded in some semblance of reality and provided an additional purpose to our road trip. It also was a great way to update all of our friends and family members at the same time.

These days Ash is a Senior Editor at Overland International (Overland Journal and Expedition Portal). Many vignettes of our travels can be found there along with inspiring tales from other travellers. Additionally, we have been filming and photographing for Expedition Overland (among other clients) since 2017. Through XO, we share our ongoing Creator Series, which gives an essence of our current trip. It’s not a YouTube vlog, we don’t publish weekly, and we don’t share our entire lives.

Overall, those platforms provide a nice balance, but there are some stories and other behind the scenes details deserving of a place to live that isn’t Overland Journal, Expedition Overland, or social media. This is that place.
